This was my first hands-on hospitality internship, where I worked in a lakefront 4-star hotel in northern Italy. Responsibilities included:
- Basic restaurant service: mise en place, table clearing, guest assistance
- Supporting senior waitstaff during busy shifts
- Observing hotel operations in real time, from F&B to guest relations
Here, I was introduced to:
- Professional service etiquette
- Time discipline, punctuality, and teamwork
- The foundation of what would become my long-term passion for the hospitality industry
